Welcome back to the Mardyke, the home of College rugby. Our club is now 152 years old, the oldest club in Munster and 3rd oldest in Ireland, and we have a very proud tradition at UCC rugby.

I am delighted and honoured to serve as President of UCC RFC again for the coming season.
My family, grandfather Charlie, Father Mick and brother Richie were all very heavily involved in UCC Rugby and I am very proud to continue that tradition.

The rugby played last year was extremely competitive and exciting, we had so many super matches, and we hope for more of the same this year. Our teams, both male & female, while young in years, are going to be very competitive and will be a strong force to be reckoned with. We wish all of our players a very successful season both on the pitch and in their studies.

The best of luck to our new coach, Tomas O'Leary, and his team of coaches. I would also like to acknowledge the huge effort from our committees that keep the show on the road.

I hope all our players enjoy their time with UCC and build great memories and connections that will last a lifetime.

Finally, I hope that you all enjoy your days at the Mardyke, meeting some old friends, making some new friends and enjoying the rugby.
